I love this small 5- sided brush. I use it for concealer and sometimes for cream contour. It does a great job of diffusing concealer without streaking. The bristles are soft and can be easily cleaned with daily brush shampoo. I missed out of the large 5- sided brush during the sale. Next time.

Bought this for pigmented blushes, as I have light skin, but love a dark blush. It picks up the right amount of product and gives a very diffused finish. Super soft and gentle. Was in doubt between this and the z4, but went with this for possible different uses in the future.

Beautifully soft bristles and construction. The brush has a good firmness to it so placement can be precise. I use it for contour and highlight, would recommend it, it’s a unique shape, could be used in multiple ways depending on your preferences and face shape/size.

I just started to get into brushes the last year or two. I’ve seen this on YouTube. I had to try it. It’s so different to all the brushes I have. It’s beautiful. It’s great for applying highlighter blush so soft high-quality. The brush is very soft and plushy. Very convenient size for hourglass palettes, fits perfectly.
I use it for bronzer, blush, and for finishing powder to buff out the edges.

I own a lot of brushes but for some reason seem to always reach for this. The footprint is the perfect size for me as I love brushes on the smaller size. Works perfectly in the limited hourglass blush palettes. Blends and applies at the same time. Love.

This is my first time experiencing vintage kolinsky and my first time using a kolinsky face brush, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Kolinsky is known for being a resilient fiber that can be used for creams and liquids, so I was very surprised with how soft it is and how fluidly it moves on the skin. The hair is very straight and glossy and it has a beautiful colour. As for the handle, it is absolutely stunning. I love the black to blue gradient and the design with Fuji-san, the moon and the stars. My only gripe is that, being a very premium hair and handle, I wish the brushes had been available individually to make it a little more affordable to experience these gorgeous brushes.

After a year of anticipation, this set has finally arrived—and it exceeds every expectation. For the first time, Chikuhodo has crafted brushes of this size using pure vintage Kolinsky hair, an exceptionally rare achievement. The craftsmanship and quality are truly outstanding.

The hairs appear slightly thicker than those found in the original Koyudo Raden series (2019–2022), lending each brush a fuller, more balanced shape. The texture is remarkably smooth, with exquisitely translucent tips that speak to the excellent quality of the material.
